Atlanta's New Burger Baron: Bareburger

30 August 2018

IMG_3353

Burgers, brews and some incredibly addicting Brussels sprouts are all on the Bareburger menu and let’s just say- we’re here for it! This new Midtown restaurant is great for a quick bite or a chill dinner out. Inside the restaurant there are bright colors and neon signs, a bar that extends across half of the space, the wafts of fresh food cooking in the back and all the while a steady stream of classic rock playing.

Something that sets this burger joint apart from others is the array of vegan options on the menu. Vegan burgers, salads and even milkshakes make an appearance on Bareburger’s menu! Bareburger focuses on local and organic ingredients as often as possible and each food distributor is even detailed on their online menu! Watch our Facebook Live with General Manager, JP, and Taste of Atlanta Marketing and Media Manager, Skye, to get a deeper understanding of this hyper-local focus.

We recommend trying 1 of each to get to know the place before it appears at Taste of Atlanta October 20th and 21st. Read below for more of our must-orders:

1) (pictured above) The “Standard” with an Impossible burger, American cheese, caramelized onions, dill pickles and “special sauce” on a brioche bun.

Simon’s Restaurant in Midtown has been open less than a year and already has a big-time trophy under their belt. The restaurant won “Best Taste” of Sunday at Taste of Atlanta on October 21st. Simon’s is best known for creative southern dishes and a truly Instagram-able build out. Chef Robert Butts crafts a unique and ever-changing menu with options ranging from indulgent to vegan; savory composed plates to painstakingly homemade pastries. His enthusiasm is infectious and every restaurant-goer can appreciate the good vibes that radiate from his kitchen and extend throughout the entire dining space.

Chef Robert updates his menu seasonally and right now, he’s focused on fall comfort foods. We went behind-the-scenes to capture some of these decadent dishes. Watch a Facebook Live with Taste of Atlanta Marketing & Media Manager, Skye Estroff, and Chef Robert for more details of each menu item. One of the newly-added items made it to the menu because of it’s appearance on Simon’s Taste of Atlanta menu- the Slow Braised Beef Ribs over Pimento Cheese Mashed Potatoes and Crispy Collard Greens with Jack Daniels Au Jus.

See below for an up-close look at each spotlit dish and come and try Simon’s before 2018 ends! This restaurant is the perfect spot for brunch, drinks, dinner, happy hour, late night or group events any day of the week (brunch is weekends only).
