With a background in education and a love for beer and local haunts, Kristen “Red” Sumpter and her husband Ed moved from Wilmington, N.C. to Atlanta, GA with dream of opening a beer garden that supports local businesses and community and provides an opportunity for guests to learn about beer. With a loyal following, Red’s Beer Garden has become a go-to destination for Atlantans and visitors alike to create memories, cultivate friendships, and to enjoy great food and drinks. In addition to being the owner of Red’s Beer Garden, Kristen is also the Front of House Manager, beer and beverage buyer, bookkeeper, event manager, beertender, and a cook.
